Yay! It’s that day again…
Happy Birthday to me! Woot! 
My day started off pretty nice, got dressed up and went out to find my car waiting for me at the front of the parking lot (thanks Kris!). I was able to get the rather late posting of my class lecture notes and assigned reading before my lab manager came over with a hug and present. Then I headed off to said class (which I didn’t want to go to for obvious reasons!), but got a parking space with no problem.
We had our monthly lab potluck lunch birthday celebration, and Kris stopped by. He surprised me with some balloons and a DVD - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Yes, I’m a geek and love these movies! I didn’t even know it was out on DVD until yesterday, so it was really nice that Kris went out of his way to find it and bring it to me as a present at work.
Now, because I love what I’m researching, I have to go electrocute some cells. But I’m NOT going to read the papers for class - ’cause it’s my birthday!

Happy Belated Birthday! I know it’s sort of weird that I’m getting in touch with you after all this time. I feel like what happened after my mom’s wedding really never got resolved, and maybe it’s time to bury the hatchet. I still think about you and wonder how things are going.
