Cars - go see it!
So last night I was feeling quite crappy when Kris ran downstairs and pulled me out the door. After a wild ride around the neighborhood (although Irvine doesn’t really have “neighborhoods”), we pulled into a movie theater parking lot. Kris ran to get tickets; I didn’t even know what we were going to see. Once inside, I watched the preview for “How to Eat Fried Worms” (which was a bit gross), and then a bunch of Pixar previews. Of course then I knew - since we’d actually seen something about “Cars” somewhere and it looked pretty good. We haven’t been out to the movies in about 2 years (since it’s like $10/person now!), so this was definately something different. Anywayz, on to the movie review.
Once again, I will try not to ruin it for anyone. If you know anything about the movie, it’s focused on a roundy-round racecar. He gets lost on the way to the last big race of the season, and is stuck in a small town. The movie is full of adult-humor (those cartoons aren’t just for kids anymore), and kitchy things that Kris and I especially enjoyed since they were spoofs on things were saw/visited on our “Road Trip USA” across the country. We laughed at all the little details of things - and there’s lots we’re sure we missed. I can’t wait to get the DVD when it comes out so we can pause it to see all those little things. Any car-lover will enjoy this movie too - both NASCAR and Rally fans alike, which I did NOT expect. So people - go see it! - Or at least make a point to rent it once it comes out on DVD.
