TiVo
Kris got us a TiVo a couple weeks ago, and just set it all up. At first I was a little skeptical - we barely watch tv at all, with the few channels of cable we actually receive. Where we going to end up watching tv all the time? What evils could this little black box do to my new improved ™ study schedule?
I wouldn’t have guessed it, but once Kris showed me how to set up the “Season Pass manager” I took off running. I had about five things programmed in there immediately, and have since added a couple more.
So the TiVo’s been running for about a week now. Do I watch more tv that I did last week? Certainly. But do I watch more tv than I “usually” do? I don’t think so. It’s just that now, if I do want to watch tv, there’s always something on that I want to see.
Thank you, TiVo!

Hey there Christine,
It’s been a large number of years since we have spoken, and I stumbled across your little blog here, and I decided to drop you a line. Email me if you wish, maybe we can have an instant message reunion, or something to that effect. I suppose that’s about it for now. Perhaps I’ll talk to ya later.
