We’ll be home for Christmas…

You can count on me… They’ll be snow, and mistletoe, and presents by the tree…

Ok, seriously here, we’re headed East for Christmas! For all of you who were wondering, it is official. We’ve got the flights and rental car booked, now all we need to do is fill our schedule with visits to friends and family.

Here’s the deal: Kris and I are flying in on Friday morning to Massachusetts. We’ll be driving through NH and visiting his parents in Maine over the weekend. We’re headed down to New Jersey either Monday or Tuesday, depending on who wants to see us and when. Our flight back to the west coast is on the 26th, so get us while we’re hot - er, cold - the week before Christmas!

If you live in NH or MA: we can visit on Monday or Tuesday.
If you live in NJ or NY: we can visit Wednesday through Friday.

The rental has to be returned Thursday night or Friday morning - Ray, might you be able to give us a ride back from the rental return? :D I *know* you want to!!! We could probably borrow one of the “family” vehicles (do I hear Corvette???) to visit on Friday, but I don’t know about Saturday, especially with its Christmas Eve Traditions.

In ANY case, please leave me a comment about which day would be best to visit. I won’t publish it if you don’t want me to - so say so! ;) Leave a comment, it’s easy!

Where I’ve traveled in the US:

Make YOUR Map! 8) I found this site the other day, and decided to make my map. It’s pretty cool that I’ve been to most of the US - 34/50 states. It’s a little weird that I traveled through most of them within the last year or so, and have been to them all with Kris. Ok, with the exception of Florida, which we have both been to, but seperately.

And if you look back you can see that we really did visit most of these states, making tons of stops along the way. You can almost even see the two different routes we took in August, and then later in December. For a quick preview, the first trip we made we drove across the smallest east-west part of Texas that you can drive through in the US, and the second trip we drove through the largest part of Texas that you can possibly drive through in the US. And I think I completely forgot to talk about in those posts how Texas has the new Interstate signs with the font they had to pay to use. Weird, but the font looks awesome and makes the signs a heck of a lot easier to read. I wonder if we got a picture of any of them?

Anyway, I’d really like to do some more traveling with Kris. Hopefully within the next year we will be able to make the trip northward up the west coast, at least to Oregon. :D
