Wedding Planning Update #20 - Christmas gifts!
My parents totally surprised me! After my parents paid for my flight out in October, I told them I didn’t want any gifts for Christmas. Not only did my parents let us borrow their car(s) for the ENTIRE time we were on the east coast (and that including letting us take their Trail Blazer up to Maine so we wouldn’t have to rent a car, and in essence saved us about $450), but then they also did end up giving me a couple presents.
This was the biggest thing. I totally did not expect to be receiving my tiara from my parents for Christmas! I also now have (coming in the mail) the rest of the bridal undergarments I will be needing for my fittings! The only major thing I have left to get (before my fittings) are my shoes, which I will be buying courtesy of a gift certificate from Kris’s parents. With that gift certificate, I’ll probably also get a pair of small stud earrings to wear in my second hole to compliment the earrings my mom already gave me as a birthday present, as well as a cartilage earring. I’m so surprised and happy!
